Black History Month
Black History Month Celebration – Abingdon Methodist Circuit
You are warmly invited to a special Black History Month event on Saturday 17 October, from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, at Trinity Church, Conduit Rd, Abingdon OX14 1DB.
This enriching afternoon will feature:
- Talk: The History of Black History Month Mr Bevan Powell MBE
- Act of Worship: Dr Sonia Hicks, Chair of the Northampton Methodist District
- Storytelling: Mr Joseph Kingsley Nyinah
- The Methodist Zimbabwe Fellowship Choir
- Conversation: A twenty minute dialogue with The Rt Hon, the Lord Boateng, Member of the House of Lords
We will conclude with a shared faith meal, celebrating the vibrant culinary heritage of the African and Caribbean diaspora.
