Holocaust Memorial Day is One Day — 27th January — that we put aside to come together to remember, to learn about the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and the genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur, in the hope that
there may be One Day in the future with no genocide. We learn more about the past, we empathise with others today, and we take action for a better future.
It has been a tradition for Wantage Methodist Church to mark Holocaust Memorial Day in some way for a number of years (usually one of the few places in Oxfordshire to do so). The theme for 2022 is "One Day" and our chapel will be open on Thursday 27th January from 2 pm to 4 pm with a rolling powerpoint of information, images and music.
There is also an opportunity to take part in the UK Ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day 2022, which will be streamed online on Thursday 27th January at 7 pm. You will need to register to watch the Ceremony online, using the following link
