Follow-up to the new venture at Milton
Fund-raising for Alice's Charity in Harare
At the beginning of November we held a coffee morning to support a charity for blind women and their children, called 'Ray of Vision',and run by Alice Chikomo in Harare, Zimbabwe. Alice is the sister of one of our congregation, Emma Mtendera.
Alice was kind enough to send me this good selection of pictures, telling the story of how they spent the money we sent. (Emma went to Didcot and wired the £450 directly to her sister.)
We were very pleased to see the large party bags of food at the bottom of the tree and the presents each child received, and look forward to our next fund raising effort for this charity..
