The fine tradition of English folk music will be brought to Wallingford in June by the Three Pressed Men.
The acclaimed veteran performers excel in a cappella songs but also play a variety of instruments and are known for their large collection of concertinas.
The Oxfordshire trio of Ian Wheeler, from Cholsey, Mark Fry and Dick Wolff will include a selection of sensitive ballads, lively dance music and rousing choruses when they appear at Wallingford Methodist Church on Saturday June 10th, at 7.30 pm.
The singers, who have English folk music at the heart of their repertoire, embrace many moods and styles when they perform at folk clubs and festivals. They were highly entertaining when they performed previously at the church.
Tickets cost £10 and include an interval drink and nibbles.
To reserve tickets please email wmleadership@outlook.com, or leave a message on 07818 660861.
(If you are attending church you can also obtain tickets from Nicky Lidstone or other members of the fundraising team.)
Proceeds from the event will benefit the maintenance of the church.
